Sneezing repeatedly, red and watery eyes, itching all over or in parts of the body are some symptoms that people perceive with the arrival of spring. The beauty of the explosion of a multitude of flowers, with bright and vibrant colors, for many is nothing more than a nuisance, a health problem. According to Ayurveda plants and / or pollens are not responsible whatsoever for our allergic reactions, but it is the “ground”, ie our body which is “altered” by the considerable presence of toxins (AMA) derived from indigestion or chemical agents, which reacts to the allergens (pollen) and triggers allergic reactions.
To avoid the accumulation of toxins, caused by a digestive proces unable to properly eliminate the “waste” from our organism, we recommend using herbs and spices that favour the digestibility during the cooking of food. We advise using Ayurvedic preparations as: Kaf Virya® that fluidifies the mucus and improves digestion at stomach level; the tablets Hara Virya® that facilitate breathing and the herbal tea Pavana Virya® that detoxifies the liver. If you suffer from itching, we suggest taking the tablets Vilayanam Virya® which have a depurant action on the blood favouring the elimination of the itching.
We should always pay attention to the food we eat, particularly during the allergic phase. We encourage you to avoid eating heating or acid foods such as chocolate, sea fish, molluscs, crustaceans, seaweed, tomatoes, canned foods, or foods that block the channels (Srotas), such as cheese, yoghurt, bananas and all tropical fruit.
